Introduction:Canada is the neighbor to the north of the U.S.A. A large country, its beauty and diverse cultures are oh-so inviting. Here is a look at a random sampling of Canadian provinces. Which provinces would you add to this list?
The majestic Canadian portion of the Pacific Coast Mountains runs parallel to the province's Pacific coastline. Further inland you will find the Peace River block, a preserved area of lakes and evergreens. The capital city of Victoria on Vancouver Island is said to be "more like London than London."
Quebec is both the physical and spiritual home to French Canadians. French is the predominant language spoken here. The cosmopolitan Montreal is its largest city, while the historic city of Quebec is its capital. Quebec City is known for its jubilant Winter Carnival.
Located in Canada's geographical center, Manitoba is home to more than 110,000 lakes, with Lake Winnipeg the largest of them all. Manitoba borders Hudson Bay where the town of Churchill is noted for its population of polar bears.
Nova Scotia literally means "New Scotland." Nova Scotia is one of Canada's three maritime provinces. It is considered an ocean playground, since it is surrounded mostly by water. Only a narrow strip of land connects it to neighboring New Brunswick.
The Canadian Rockies are Alberta's provincial treasure. The resort areas of Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise provide outdoor excitement year-round. East of the Rockies lies prairie country. Edmonton is the provincial capital while Calgary is home to the wild-west themed Calgary Stampede.
Have only been to B.C. and Ontario. B.C. was absolutely beautiful! (Toronto wasn't bad, either.)
I've been to Ontario quite a few times!
Great Top5List of Canadian provinces.
The next trip that I take will be Canada. It is something I have put off for a long time. I hold it close because of its beauty, the fact that some Provinces fine you for spitting on the street, etc. lol The people I have met from there seem so very nice too. Thanks for the wonderful Top Five Provinces.
