This article is in no way, shape, or form intended to stop you from quitting smoking. You know that smoking is really bad for you, and you know that it is time to quit smoking. This is only a list of evils to avoid when you quit.
Please, feel free to share this list with your friends who may have just quit smoking or are intending to quit at any time soon. Maybe even print this list out, and tape it up on your fridge.
The first evil to avoid when you quit smoking is eating. You will have the urge to start eating. This urge will make you want to keep eating once you have started.
You will want to eat everything in sight and more. You will want to eat continuously throughout the day. You will even want to keep eating throughout the night.
Do not let this evil overtake you when you quit smoking. Be prepared. If you are not ready for this evil to arise upon your quitting, you may not be able to fight it off.
Just let it go. Fight back that urge. You really are not even hungry at all. You are just going through withdrawal.
Drinking. Oh, please. Do not even consider the thought of exchanging smoking for drinking. Besides, you know better than that. You know that you won't even be able to drink without at least having one smoke.
After having that cigarette, you will want to have another drink. You honestly know that won't work, either. You will only end up needing another cigarette.
Be wise in the decisions that you make when you quit smoking. Steer clear of any and all things that will tempt you into having another smoke.
It is extremely important that you make sure that you avoid the evil of drinking when you quit smoking.
You may not think that sleeping can be wrong in any way. Sleeping could even be nice at first, before it turns into another evil to avoid when you quit smoking.
Surely, maybe you can catch up on your sleep for a little bit. You may be shaky at first, anyway. There is only so much sleep that is tolerable, though. Watch out for this evil so that you don't get yourself into any trouble for trying to sleep your life away.
Also, by no means, do not ever even consider pretending to have quit smoking just so that you can go hide in bed and smoke.
Often when people choose to quit smoking, they really do have good intentions. Most people who smoke and have made that decision to quit smoking are only doing this for good reasons.
They just can't help it. The withdrawal symptoms from quitting can become pretty horrible. You may feel tired and irritable for a bit, but please do not take this out on anyone.
This is where the yelling evil comes into play. Be on the lookout for this evil to be lurking around you everywhere you go.
Just remember, no one is really yelling at you, doing anything wrong, or even looking at you in a funny sort of way. It is not them.
It is just the yelling evil. Rest assured. You can conquer this. Try your best to be nice, and don't start yelling at everyone and everything all the time.
The last evil here is the fighting evil. This evil will pop up suddenly without any warning whatsoever when you first quit smoking. You must be prepared to handle this in any given situation.
Just because you have quit smoking does not give you the right to always be on the defensive. You do not have to be starting fights with anyone for any reason.
These people around you are all your friends. They know you, and they love you. Do not scare them away. They can actually help you out at this time, if you will only let them.
Again, your urge to fight and pick fights is not you. It is not your fault, either. It is just that wicked, old fighting evil. Be sure to be prepared so that you can conquer this evil once it arises.
Do not fear these top five evils to avoid when you quit smoking. Just be aware of these evils so that you can stop them dead in their tracks when they rear their ugly heads at you.
