Introduction:The Washington Redskin might have some familiar faces staring from the opposing sidelines this season. Let's see where former Redskins are looking for work.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns officials told their local reporters that they were working on the possibility of a deal with free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III, and that any trade talks regarding Colin Kaepernick seem to have cooled.
Griffin met with the Browns Friday.
Griffin threw for 3,200 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions back in 2012, and rushed for an additional 815 yards and seven touchdowns. In the three seasons that followed, Griffin played in 22 games, going 5-15 as a starter. His completion percentage dipped and he hurled 18 picks in those 22 appearances.
Beside RG3, Alfred Morris made up the second part of this dynamic duo. He is scheduled to meet with the Dallas Cowboys 3/21. Morris rushed for 751 yards and one touchdown last season.
He had 1,613 yards as a rookie and is a two-time Pro Bowl selection. The Redskins are now leaning more towards RB Matt Jones as their future.
It was reported earlier last week former DE Jason Hatcher was meeting with the New Orleans Saints. Hatcher had 7.5 sacks in his two seasons with the Redskins.
Goldson spent just one season in Washington before getting cut, and it was a productive 2015. He registered a career-high 108 tackles to go along with one interception in 15 starts.
Compton reported signed with the Falcons 3/16. Compton has played in 44 games, including 10 starts, with the Redskins the last three years. He was drafted in 2012.
While many people do not see many of these former Redskins as reason for concern, the two most watched moves will probably be Morris and RG3.It wouldn't be a surprise if the two locked up again on a different team.
