Introduction:Years ago I used to write daily. While I still enjoy writing, I have to admit my writing skills are getting rusty. Mostly because I have little time and here is why..
Like most of us I work full time in a high stress environment in the cable industry. I love my job but that is where 40+ hours every week is spent.
Sometime I wonder why the Doctors have to see us so much. My husband has a crazy list of medical issue and is fighting to get disability. Every time he does something little to help me around the house he ends up hurting for days. He has two to three appointments a month. Then my teenagers have issues, they are teenagers which is the issue. Ha Ha. I have two teens. One has to get allergy shots once a week. Then I have rheumatoid arthritis which is not well controlled yet, which means more doctor appointments. Thankfully my husband does drive and can at least take the teens and most times himself to appointments.
I love them dearly and when I do have a chance they still want to do stuff with Mom. Knowing this won't last long I try to take advantage of this, except I still won't play the gross games with zombies and blood filled games with them. However we love Lego games: Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Lego Rock band, Lego Harry Potter. They also enjoy strategy games like chess and party games, but they still get discouraged when I beat them. I think they both have a goal to get better then I am.
Yep the outside is an issue too. We live near the mountains and there are some very nice parks nearby. We even tried to drown as a family in the river last year. (Note not on purpose but we did learn to stay out of the river when it has rained). Now my husband mostly watches and walks some so we often enjoy sitting in the sun or shade watching our teens. Neither of us have a cell phone, unless we are a long way from home and we nab a pay per minute phone for emergencies. This really isn't a bad thing it has been a good way to find inspiration. (Yes, I wrote about us almost drowning together).
House chores are mostly done by my teens but they are again teens, so I do have a bit to still do. Then we have normal stuff like church and trips the teens want to go on. Plus for some reason I showed I know how to crochet and I'm in the middle of making a blanket for my brother-in-law. He's been asking for a while for one, hopefully it'll be done by the end of the year. My husband also wants some of my time for some reason after 15 years we still enjoy being together. (LOL) We still play video games and even watch some TV show together.
Oh yeah, and that thing called sleep. I would like to say I get eight hours a day but there are so many nights when we find ourselves just laying there talking until we notice is getting way late. I guess that is why my husband and I enjoy time together. We can talk about everything and anything together; it's like having a best friend to talk to.
Sadly having Rheumatoid Arthritis tends to leave me feeling tired too.
