It is also very important to do shoulder or knee exercises that your surgeon or your physical therapist recommends. These exercises should be done 2-3 times a day or whatever is recommended by your doctor or physical therapist. If you do all of your recommended exercises, you will become less stiff with the surgical knee or shoulder.

Physical therapy and the exercises usually makes you feel better after you have done them. Your surgical knee or shoulder is usually less stiff and less painful when you have done the physical therapy and the exercises. This is one reason to stay on top of your therapy and exercises. This will help you feel better.
If you continue doing your physical therapy and your exercises that are recommended by your doctor and your physical therapist, you will have a better life. Some people don't do the exercises like they should be doing and end up feeling stiff for the rest of their life. They end up walking with a limp or are unable to walk up the stairs the proper way. They may not be able to lift a small box or use their arm the way they should be using it if they have not seen their physical therapists like they should have or have not done all their exercises like they should have done. If you want a better life for the rest of your life, be sure to go to physical therapy until your therapists discharges you. Be sure to continue doing all of your exercises until your range of motion and stiffness is completely back to normal and until your doctor or therapist says you don't need to continue doing them any longer. This will help you achieve a better life. You don't want to feel stiff for the rest of your life. You will want to live a life the way your are meant to live it which is with full range of motion. You can have this if you do your physical therapy and your exercises as recommended.
Most people have surgery because of some sort of pain that they are having. You spend a lot of money and a lot of time in pain after having surgery. You should be able to live a better life after having surgery. It is very important to go to physical therapy and it is very important to do all of your exercises so that you can live your life pain free with a full range of motion.

We just started using the WII fit and should have done it a long time ago. This helps us to keep us the exercises at home. Physical therapy is very import to be able to keep moving. Good list.

I know someone with MS who does not go to any of her physical therapy appointments. She is to the point where she can't even open a bag of chips.
