Children can find a lot of different fun ideas while helping in the kitchen. They can find cans to stack in the cupboard. They can help stir foods that are not too hot. They can set the table and call for dinner. They could even ring the dinner bell.
Young children love to keep their hands moving. Take all the socks out of the dryer, then place then in a basket, or any clean area for sorting. Young children can learn about matching items this away.
Children will be as active as parents, caregivers, and family members allow them to be. Give them choices and they will be interesed.
