Introduction:Vacation spots. Where should we go this year, honey?
Let's find out.
Perhaps the most popular choice among all vacation spots. A beach vacation can be local, should you be fortunate enough to live near the shore. Or a beach vacation can be more exotic. French Polynesia, perhaps?
Mountain vacations are an ever-popular choice. The Colorado Rocky Mountains spring to mind -- perfect for winter sports or summer camping trips with the family.
Sometimes a top vacation spot consists of the fascinating places to see and the things to do within a twenty-five mile radius of home-sweet-home. Museums, nature trails, historic landmarks -- see the sites in your own backyard that others may pay hundreds of dollars to experience.
Always wanted to brush up on your foreign-language skills? Consider a language-immersion program in a foreign country. Cruise lines often offer cruises geared toward learning something new.
Pampering is nice! Sometimes you just want to get on a plane with the assurance that everything has been pre-paid before you even arrive at your vacation destination. Bon voyage!
Give me beaches or give me a pool! :)
I'm with Shirley - love the all inclusive (cheaper bar bills that way)
All inclusive or beach destination for me ! :-)
Vacations are nice.
I'm starting to think about taking an educational vacation. There are also "voluntours," where you can go to New Orleans and help with relief efforts after the recent oil spill. 5*
Wonderful vacation spots for a fine top 5 list.
I love All-Inclusives for out of the country stays. Takes all the guess work out of, "Where are we going to eat tonight".
Wonderful way to group the types of vacations! Chicago's beach fronts are beautiful. I found a nook and stay-cationed there a lot in my youth. Thanks for sharing.
I love the beach. Great choice for No. 1!
