If you are not a morning person this idea to be positive early in the day will help you. You will gain control and be positive first thing in your routine. A person does not have to wake up early to get a positive hold on the day. Some people are just not morning people, so they are sometimes naturally quiet until they get fully awake. Begin your day before you get out of bed. Think of the things and even one thing that you are thankful for at that eye opening time. Do not let a day begin without reflecting on the positive thankful blessing.
Groups of like minded people are not always easy to find. It might take you several attempts to locate a group to fellowship with that give you positive points in your life. Remember, there might be a negative person within that group, but for the most part the fellowship with the others will overshadow that negativity. Choose your people and focus wisely. Do not just settle, but find your niche with wonderful individuals that put positive energy in your life. You can easily tell that is the fellowship group for you by the way you respond to meeting with them. If you are anxious to gather with them, you have found your fellowship group.
Try turning off the nightly news. Putting a closure to your day should have a happy ending and the main stream media networks will not provide you with any of that. Bad news sells and there is plenty of it to report on for the day. If you must keep informed, limit yourself to a specific amount of time to the acquiring of news reports. Also make sure you end your day with some happiness. Look at precious photos, calm yourself with yoga, pray or other good input. If music soothes you, make sure your day ends with some good tunes.
Too often others will not provide acknowledgement of your accomplishments. Take some time during the day to realize your goodness without blowing those out of proportion. Acknowledgements of things accomplished might not be easy at first, so beginning small is a great start. Everyone has goals they reach even though they were not formerly set. Take some time to think and realize how you have impacted the day, When the negative arise, replace those thoughts with a positive one as quickly as possible. Smile as you give yourself some credit for a job well done. Your self kudos do not have to be large ones.
When you look in the mirror you see the outward appearance. When you remain at the mirror and smile, your inward thoughts change for the positive and better. Try doing this when you are feeling alone, lonely, upset or sad. Soon you will find your inner self can be changed with a smile. Imagine how that can rearrange your everyday? Try beginning a nasty task with a smile and see the results. Do not smile at others misfortune or sad feelings since this is hurtful and NON CARING. When you are less than happy, go to a place that is contentment for you. It might be a park where children are laughing, a spot where you are close to nature or anywhere that deposits positive feelings in your life.
