Take a month, and write down everything you spend money on. Include everything. Look at all of your bills. Figure out if there are any places where you are wasting money. Do it for a whole month, so you get a good idea where you can cut back and save money.
Start an emergency fund. This is money set aside strictly for true emergencies. Keep it in your savings account, but don't touch it untill there is a true need.
If you don't save money, you will never get ahead. Try to keep at least a few months worth of living expenses in your account.
Make a budget for all of your daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly expenses. Make sure you include a certain amount for things like tazes that you don't pay every month, and your savings and emergency funds.
Watch what you spend your money on. Try to stick to your budget you created for yourself. Look for ways to cut down, and different ways you can save money.
