Introduction:I'm talking about literally finding money, as in money others have dropped. If you keep an eagle eye, you can find some perfectly good coins lying around, ready for the taking.
Coins are needed to operate the hoses and vacuums at the do-it-yourself carwash place. Some of these coins roll away, and are just sitting there, waiting for you to find them.
Scan the sidewalk and curb by coin operated parking meters. Somebody in a business suit or heels isn't going to chase that dime they dropped. However, you can scoop it right up and put it in your pocket.
Many coins are dropped near vending machines. Just keep looking, and sooner or later, you'll find some cold, hard cash on the floor, ready to enrich your hoard of found money.
When the snowy grocery parking lot gets plowed, guess what happens to all the stray coins that were scattered about? That's right, they get pushed over into the snow piles. Keep an eye on those melting mounds of snow. There's bound to be some money in there somewhere.
Whether at home, at the doctor's office waiting room, or in any place with upholstered cushion seating, look for money. Pants pockets tend to release their coinage contents right into the cracks of the sofa. Dig a little, and you'll find some cash!
Keep a special piggy bank just for the depositing your found coins. Always keep an eye out as you stroll about town. You may be amazed at how many pennies you'll find with a combination of luck and skill.
Great list, thank you.
I am always guaranteed some change and even a few dollars when I do my husband's laundry!
My sister has good luck checking the self-serve car wash that she walks past each day. People drop coins by the vacuum area and forget change in the other coin returns.
John and I found two $100 bills behind the pull out sofa on a cruise one time. Look there! Great places to find money and a great link too!
Great list here! I used to find it in my mom's coat pockets. :) I just found a bunch of change at the movie theater last week. High 5~
I remember when I was a very young child, my brother and I used to go to my grandpa's bar and help him clean when they were closed. We always found money in the vending machines. Now I look back and wonder if he planted it there when we weren't watching because we always found money in there. Great list of 5.
Peggy, I found a quarter on the sidewalk last week, but it was frozen in ice. Too bad I had no blowtorch with me. I had to leave it behind for the next lucky finder.
Aww, new places to look! I have a found money blog and found $10.68 last year. This year so far: 1 penny. Love this list!
