Introduction:Are our little boys really easier to raise? Is it as easy as putting them in tough jean and tee shirts and letting them climb trees and jump off cars? And tease little girls at school and church. lol. Much more to it than that! Parents enjoy your time with them they grow fast and leave you with the "Empty NEST" syndrome!
He is home and he is beautiful. He is very quiet. He is always smiling and happy. There are fun things to dress him in. All the little outfits with zoo animals all over it.lol. He likes to kick, sit up and watch people going to and fro. Mom and dad wonder what he will be when he gets older. Doctor, lawyer, minister, will he marry, will he become a dad himself, etc.
He is all over the place. Can't get him to sit still. He likes his little cares to ride around on. He plays in the dirt and wears it too! lol. He is fun to watch. It was great to see him crawl and get to the walking stage but now he is everywhere and fast too. lol. Dad starts wondering what mom is feeding him that he has so much energy, dad wants some too. lol. You have to change them often. There will be two sets of clothes for him. Outside and the inside. Pants and shirt to play in out side and nice clothing for inside. He will probably be climbing trees and fences before you know it.
Soon will be a teenager. Thank God he doesn't think too much about the girls yet! lol. Dad is already trying to teach about "the birds and bees". Son says, "dad I don't want to hear about that, I don't even like girls, they are ugly and stupid". Sure they are. Boys are just afraid of them at this point! lol. We all know when the teen years hit look out! lol. The young boy still into running, climbing, swimming, riding his bike with his friends!
Some start trying to dress differently, they try out the new styles of dress for their time. Some girls are ugly and some are pretty. Some are stuck up and won't give the time of day! Others are flirty and chase them. They seem to be interested in the teenage girls for several reasons, they are pretty, smell good, seem very smart, etc. Dad is left wondering what kind of girl he will be interested in and mom is hoping he isn't sexually active at this time. Mom wants son to think about college and getting through his school with no problems of any sort. Son will dress much better as time goes by, wants to impress the young ladies. Sons will be more serious about school, etc. Son wants dad to explain everything he needs to know about courting a girl that he likes. Mom is busy trying to tell son what not to do and not to say. Both parents want the best for the son and want him to finish school first and then college can be for finding a girl friend.
High school almost over how many girlfriends has he had parents wonder. Do we know about them all? lol. Is there anything we should know about upon graduating high school? What college will they attend? How far will it be from home? What kind of lady will he meet while away? While she be good enough for him? Wil they elope or will their be a wedding to attend? Since the girl makes all those decisions. lol. What will he be like as a husband and a dad in the future?
This is dedicated to all the moms and dads. Personally, both my children were easy to raise but I had a lot of help from God and putting my children first seems to have made a huge difference. The were both equally the same in as far as raising but my girl was more expensive because she was a picky dresser, thank God she didn't wear makeup! lol. They both started work in high school and supported their extra fun. They both paid their way through their own schooling. I feel very blessed that they were well behaved and great kids. Jas, thank you for not doing what the other boys around you were doing and thank you for standing your ground and teaching others that ladies are to be respected and treated right. Thank you for putting school first and foremost important. Thank you for being a great young man and following scriptures and being a wonderful son and friend and helping with your younger sister and being her big brother through all things and her friend still. Your friend and mother a/f.
