Introduction:So your house is cluttered, no free space now what? Well here are some great ways to make some quick cash from some things you don't use anymore around the house.
Simply set up a table or lay your items on towels in your yard. A garage sale is a great way to publicly display your items to attract people to buy them. Plus, you can price your items yourself. Just make sure you don't make things too expensive or too cheap. Too expensive items may scare people off, and if they're too cheap you'll get wiped out quickly with barely some money for the grocery store.
You can sell your movies, video games, CD'S, and old electronics at a pawn shop. Just make sure your items are in an acceptable condition and you're good to go. It may be better to try several pawn shops before selling all your items at just one location. Some shops offer more money for things like DVD'S than others.
If you have something that still has a receipt looks unused, and hasn't passed its return limit, return it to the store from which you bought it. Walmart is always a great place to return your items. I returned a book once with just a receipt after I bought it two months before. Usually, as long as the item looks ok and you have a receipt, you're good to go. Sometimes, you can even return stuff without a receipt if you're lucky.
Talk to your family and friends. If you have something that's worth alot of money, like an expensive TV or video game system that you don't use and you really don't want to give it up for free, convince your friends and family to buy it at a fair price. You can even make them a special deal, at least you'll get some cash.
Ebay is a great way to sell used items. Post what you have on Ebay and set it at a fair price. Hopefully somebody will need just what you're selling and buy it from you. The only complication is shipping it to the buyer. So that's why I prefer a hands on approach.
So there you have them. Five great ways to make some quick cash from unused items in your house. If you have more ways feel free to post them as comments.
