Introduction:Once again, I am reminded by my (what I thought was safe) Sunday after 8pm Walmart run...That it's a foolish task! Too many people! Stick to the smaller stores, silly girl.
Of course this is #1...And being one of the top companies in the world, one would think they could afford to hire a few more cashiers.
The fruits & veggies just look sad to me. I admit, I do see on occassion an "organic option" in the greens or Bolthouse will offer "natural" carrots, or a shipment of blueberries may actually be from Maine. This appeases my corporate shopping a bit.
I realize that for most folks, they shop at Walmart because it is A. Cheaper And... B. It's a 'one stop shop.' However, I kinda disagree. You can go online and get all of this stuff delivered to your door at the same cost or less (if you do your research). Better yet...Visit Farmer's Markets as much as you can. That will cut down on your produce bill...And it's such a happy feeling to support them:-)
It is a vortex of all your acquaintences. It always adds to your trip time, and depending on your personality, it can be a blessing or a stressor.
I truly do not like the feeling of buying cheaper at a SuperStore, only to neglect the little man...meaning our local Farmer's, Craftsmen, and other Family Owned operations. I want to pour into our community, Not a stock- corporate chain.
Forgive me if you are one of the many who enjoy your WalMart trips. I can be honest and say I've reaped from a few sales there. I also am fully aware that it is a business that provides many jobs, so that too is a bonus. I am simply venting from my late night Walmart run-in:-)
