Introduction:English is still the language of America. Some advertisers are using Spanish and they are on this list.
Jeep is leaning toward the Spanish speaking people in their ads for Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Liberty vehicles. It is not just in the heavily Spanish populated areas like Los Angeles, but on the Internet in many spots. Since Jeep has been made and manufactured in the United States, they are appealing to the Spanish speaking people with this familiar language for those speaking only the Spanish language.
Many people who do not wish to have their ads in Spanish on their product websites have Spanish words on the ads. This does not seem to be a selection of theirs and they cannot get rid of the Spanish. This is confusing to the people clicking on these websites since the individuals complaining about the Spanish ads are not coinciding with the products being sold.
Yahoo website users are complaining that Spanish ads are popping up on their Yahoo webpages. The Spanish ads are not productive because the individuals stating they want these put back to English do not seem to be getting answers and the ads continue to be in Spanish. American websites now have randomly switched to the Spanish language on a lot of the ads.
Horoscope sites on the Internet are switching between English and Spanish. Some of the horoscope sites have a link to click on to have the horoscopes explained in Spanish only. Some sites are only Spanish words, depending on where the horoscopes are originating from in the United States. When the English is only used, most often times there is a contact person to connect with for the translation into Spanish if you look on the website.
When certain areas of the United States are well known Spanish speaking populations, the advertisers put their words in Spanish only. Many of the manufacturers realize they are targeting the Spanish people so don't put the English along with the Spanish language at all. In the last 5 years many products have both English and Spanish on the labels.
I've been noticing the Spanish language pop up ads on Yahoo lately - it helps me brush up on my Spanish language skills which I haven't had to use in a while :)
I have wanted to learn Spanish for a long time. So many things are in that language, now. Great list.
I didn't know some of these. Very informative.
