I am a board-certified anesthesiologist. I went to medical school on the East coast and completed my residency on the West coast.

I love to ski and have been improving since moving to Lake Tahoe a few years ago. It's great to have beautiful resorts in my back yard.

I have climbed 3 of California's 14ers, the 14,000 plus foot mountains. Two of those climbs were alpine style mountaineering. I'd like to get back to this someday.

My favorite subjects for reading and research are those involving the history of religion. I like to try to read about what is historical truth and what is myth or legend. For some reason, I am endlessly fascinated by this subject.

Carl Sagan inspires me. I love to read and re-read his informative, entertaining and well-written books. He is the one person I would've liked to sit down and have dinner or a drink with and just talk.
