Okay...people think that if they consume less calories, they'll lose weight. Or...eat a little more and you'll have more energy. What if you could lose weight and have more energy?
You can count calories if you want. The trick here is to not cut yourself short. If you cut out too much, you'll be exhausted. Find a calculator online and determine how much you need a day if you were going to lose a few pounds a week.
Fluids like water and skim milk are good before and after exercise. Most of us need to drink more water anyway. Nothing will leave you fatigued like dehydration. To me, this seems especially important during the summer months.
Iron is a major component of red blood cells and it is critical for energy and endurance. Best sources: meats, poultry, some fish,fortified cereals, dried beans and dried fruits.
This one is one of the great mysteries of the universe. You say, "I have no energy to exercise." I say, "Exercise and you'll have more energy." That's true..and it will also help you lose weight.
I mentioned this in another list but it is true here as well. If you eat more meals and smaller portions, you'll give your body fuel for energy more often as well. Just make sure the total calorie intake is actually less. I've added the link to that list below.
