Most people like to think if given the chance and they were not tied down with a 9-5 job, that they could be an entrepreneur, but entrepreneur's are wired a little differently that most people. They have traits that makes them predestined to be an entrepreneur.
Most entrepreneurs were brain storming money making ideas when they were young. If they were not out there shoveling snow off of neighbors walk ways, they were knocking on doors asking to walk the dogs. Where most kids were playing little league, future entrepreneurs would be selling lemonade to the fans.
Entrepreneurs see and hear things differently. If you talk about the long line at the Orange Julius, they begin to think of starting one themselves or mulling over different recipes for fruit drinks. They will come to you saying, "What do you think of this idea" constantly. It seems they never run out of ideas, and are always wanting to discuss them. Even when they have a successful, money-making idea, it isn't long before they are talking about the next idea.
Failure never enters their mind or bothers them. They know they could fail, but they just pick themselves back up and start all over again. What would scare a lot of us, pushes them forward. To them, not trying their idea, would be worse than failure.
They might not be so sure in their love life or maybe they are no confident about their looks, but when it comes to business ideas, every one is a winner. They can be so optimistic that it is hard for them to see why it wouldn't work. In the long run, if it doesn't work out, they don't access it as a failure, they see it as getting one step closer to success.
While everyone is worn out listening to the new idea, they are still rehashing it. While you are zoned out staring at the TV, they are folding clothes, writing down business ideas and feeding the cat. Most entrepreneurs seem to be tireless and just watching them work, can exhaust you.
What a great list!! This so describes my son, a middle child. He is 9, doesn't know the names of all he is doing (ie: marketing or beautification)or even that it has a name! But he has come up with 2 business ideas and a cause idea to start at his school all on his own. I am extremely impressed and proud and am doing all I can to support him in his ideas. God bless!!
