This survey was based on the annual Nation's Restaurant News' most recent survey.

Cheddar's

Cheddar's has 70 casual dining restaurants and is known for it's made-from-scratch meals. It's also known for its "homey" atmosphere. Having only eaten there once, myself, many years ago, their food was good, but I remember that their portions were quite large. I'm not sure if that is still true today, though. I can say that their parking lot is always full and that there seems to always be a long wait to get a table.

Carrabba's Italian Grill

This Italian casual dining restaurant has 233 locations across the country, but not one where I live, so I have never experienced it for myself. According to descriptions, it is an open-air type of feel, as the chefs cook your meal in an open kitchen. Consumers rated their quality of food as excellent.

Cheesecake Factory

This casual dining restaurant has 149 locations across the country. It is known for its deliciously large cheesecake desserts - and a wide variety of them, I might add - and a lengthy menu. If you have a finicky eater, take them here because there will be no way that they won't find something in the menu that they won't like.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro

This restaurant was listed as an upscale casual dining restaurant. And this is not your typical Chinese restaurant. They have put a twist on the traditional, offering items such as Asian-style tacos. They have a variety of dishes to choose from off the menu and they have even gone into the frozen food business. If you check your grocery store, in your frozen foods aisle, you should be able to find some P.F. Chang's frozen dishes.

Bonefish Grill

This restaurant was also listed as an upscale casual dining restaurant. There are 152 locations across the country which sell their famous cocktails and their fresh fish dishes. Surprisingly, men and Gen Y raters were the most fond of this restaurant. I will say that my husband and his business associates do eat there every time they travel somewhere where there is one present.
