there are a million and one things one can do when retiring;
live within your means - if you have savings, and a fixed income from your pension, make a budget and live within it.
travelling the world - you can take an extended vacation, visit a foreign country or take a cruise;
buy an RV or motor home - you can live for 6 months in another country, for e.g. in Canada people go south for the winter, in Florida for e.g. with a motor home; you can still collect your pension in Canada if you are away for 1/2 the year;
renovate your home - you can make changes in your home, minor or major; for example, painting, changing the siding, renovate a bathroom;
move to the country - avoid the noise and hustle and bustle of the city and move to the country;
move to the city - a move to the city can mean less need for a vehicle, and blocks or a short bus ride from grocery stores and shopping;
you can start a business
you can get a part-time job
volunteer at your favorite charities, local organizations;
get involved in politics
babysitting
be a mentor
go back to school; get a higher degree;
read
write a book
visit family
visit friends
start a new hobby or cultivate one you already have;
start a blog; write online :)
take up a new sport
do nothing - you earned your retirement you can do anything you want
