To best explain Tom Brady and Tim Tebow's NFL stats, I leave this quote
" In youth we learn; in age we understand." ~ Marie Ebner-Eschenbach
However, when it comes to the college statistics you may be surprised who the underdog is here.
Tom Brady went to Michigan and played for the Wolverines from 1996-1999. Tim Tebow attended the University of Florida and played for the Gators from 2006-2009. They both played from the ages of 19-22, and have an exact decade between there drafts.
Tom Brady went #199th in Round 6 of the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
Tim Tebow went #25th in Round 1 of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.
Tom Brady played in 41 games, with 38 touchdowns, 19 interceptions. He started his college career slow but finished strong.
Tim Tebow played in 55 games, with 145 touchdowns, 16 interceptions. Tim Tebow started his college days strong and finished strong.
Tom Brady's passer rating rounded out at 136.4
Brady's best year was his last year in college with 142.3
His worse year, was his first year, with a mere 63.7
Tim Tebow's passer rating topped out at 170.8
His best year was his first year with a rating of 201.7
His worse year was his last year with a 164.2 rating.
Tom Brady's running performance has never been on the top of his list when it comes to skills. He actually finished -169 yards for the four years he attended Michigan. Tom had 3 rushing touchdowns total.
Tim Tebow is known for his ability to gain yards from running and ran for an amazing 2,947 yards total. He has been scrutinized over it since entering the NFL because many professionals believe in "staying in the pocket", which just means stay inside the imaginary circle/pocket that is created for you by the offense, in hopes to make a big yet smart play. Tebow had 57 rushing touchdowns.
Tom Brady threw for 5,351 yards and scored 35 passing touchdowns.
Tim Tebow threw for a total of 9,285 yards and scored 88 passing touchdowns.
Tom Brady fans probably will not like this article very much, but the stats are not my own. They are what they are. While Tom Brady stands alone this year in Quarterback royalty, since his long time rival Peyton Manning, did not play this season (2011). No one, not even Aaron Rodgers statistics can come close to Tom Brady's overall performance since entering the NFL and playing for the Champion team the New England Patriots.
Tim Tebow is just beginning and based off these stats, he is going to be an NFL hall of famer. Possibly passing all records set by Brady, Manning, Farve, etc... Most people have warmed up to Tim because he is a good role model and a great football player. He has faith in God and is not ashamed to show it. He believes in playing "good ol' backyard football".
Whether Tebow or Brady is who you tend to root for, both have valuable qualities that captivate the audience of the NFL.

I'm sorry but this information is completely wrong to base on these Quaterbacks in their NFL careers. Tom Brady may be remembered as the best QB ever and Tebow is now a backup in NY.
When these Quaterbacks were matched head to head this season Tom Brady outplayed Tebow when the New England Patriots beat down the Denver Broncos 45-10 in the Divisional round of the 2011 playoffs:
Tom Brady: 26/34 passes for 363 passing yards, 6 TDs 1 INT
Tim Tebow: 9/26 passes for 136 Passing yards, 0 TDs 0 INTS
Brady is a seasoned Playoff performer along with 7 pro bowl appearances and 2 League MVPs. Tebow while still very early in his career is 1-1 in the playoffs with 0 NFL accolades. Super Bowl wins: Brady: 3 Tebow 0.
A great read. Thank you for sharing and comparing Tebow and Brady.
Tebow's gonna have to learn to play with the big boys, that was plain this weekend. His luck won't hold out forever in NFL playing an option offense.
Thanks for this informative list of 5.
