This Southern casserole is a family favorite and incredibly easy to make!
1 16 oz can cream style corn
¼ cup chopped onions
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
½ tsp paprika
1 cup cracker crumbs
½ cup celery
2/3 cup shredded cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease or butter a standard casserole dish (glass will work best for the baking time listed here).
Chop the celery into small pieces; you might want to halve each stalk before chopping to get the pieces to be more uniform in size.
Crumble the crackers into the measuring cup; alternately, you can use breadcrumbs.
Beat the eggs in a small bowl.
Melt the butter in the microwave.
Next, combine all of the ingredients into a large bowl, and mix them together lightly with a wooden spoon. Pour into the buttered casserole dish to bake.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 50 to 55 minutes. Let stand for a few minutes after removing from the oven, then serve hot.
Enjoy!
This looks delicious.
Good list of 5.
I look forward to making this. My family and I love anything that has corn in it. H5
This is a wonderful sounding creamed corn casserole recipe
My family makes traditional Southern "Corn Pudding" but I have to say, this sounds intriguing and I think I will try it! Thanks for sharing! h5!
