Items In a Picnic Basket

Introduction:

Your food is a first thought for a picnic, however include these items in your basket and you won't be sorry. Your guests will be pleasantly surprised by your thoughtfulness to bring these for your outdoor activity.

Hand Sanitizer

Even before the food is brought out, you probably would like to wash your hands and offer that to anyone else as well. After playing volleyball, soccer or badminton, washing the hands might be limited to your hand sanitizer bottle or wipes.

Eating Necessities

Utensils and plates are eating necessities for your picnic where ever you decide to enjoy the outdoors. Pop several napkins in the basket for anyone who finds those necessary items. Consider a sharp knife just in case some cheese is on your menu for an outdoor meal.

Garbage Bag

Leaving the picnic site the way you found it means taking your garbage with you. Put a paper or plastic bag in your picnic basket in the event there is not a place to dispose of your garbage. Wrap it up and take it with you so others can enjoy that picnic area after you.

Essentials

Toothpicks can be an essential item for your picnic. There is nothing more annoying than to try to move a piece of food from between the teeth without some floss or a toothpick. You might just throw in a small roll of floss for anyone who needs that too.They don't take up much room and someone might be very pleased you thought to pack them in the basket.

Matches

Just in case your picnic includes cooking anything you will be ready with your matches.Even if the main courses don't require a fire, your roasted marshmallows will.

    I can tell you from experience, that we have put ourselves in situations where we wish we had remembered hand sanitizer or had to improvise a trash bag or ... This is a great list that will hopefully inspire me to do a better planning job next time.
