Homeschooling your child shouldn't be made to feel impossible, or not allowed. Never think that others have too much to say when it comes to your child's education, but these are the things you should keep in mind.
You must be aware that there is an amount of time, that needs to be covered each day. Your child must be schooled for a certain amount of time. Check your state guide because you need to know. There are different amounts of times for different levels.
Check your states guidelines. There are some states that require your child to be tested yearly. Other states only test certain years. Whatever the case may be, make sure you know it!
They say ANYONE can homeschool. Check your state's laws and regulation because that may not be the case. Most states require that the teacher have a high school diploma or at least a GED equivalent.
Each year your child may be required to have in their file a new letter of intent from the parent. This is just a letter stating why your child is not in school.
Make sure you know your state laws and you cover all the subjects that are required. There is more to homeschooling other than Math and English. Make sure you know and you stick with the states schedule.
Don't let this deter you from your decision to homeschool. You are making an important step in your life, and you should continue striving towards making your child the best that they can be!
