Valentine's Day just screams 'give me chocolate' and there's no better way to surprise your lover than with some easy chocolate recipe you'll make special for Valentine's Day. The below chocolate ideas are sure to please any lover on Valentine's Day.
Chocolate covered strawberries are amazingly easy to make. Just microwave chocolate for 30 seconds - make sure to stir as chocolate will hold its shape as it melts and can easily burn. Dip clean dry strawberries in the chocolate and place on waxed paper in the refrigerator to harden. Serve to your lover while reclining in bed for a great Valentine's Day treat. See resource section below in how to make tuxedo strawberries.
Dessert shooters are small desserts served in shot glasses. A delicious way to share just a bit of something sweet with your lover, mix up two or three chocolate dessert shooters. See resource section below for some specific chocolate dessert shooter ideas.
Yes, you read that right - black bean brownies. I defy anyone to tell that there are black beans in this recipe. Just open a can of black beans and puree well in the food processor. Mix with any boxed brownie mix and bake according to directions. Do not add fat, eggs or any other ingredient. Black bean brownies come out chewy and delicious. Beware though, about 2 hours after you eat black bean brownies, you and your lover will feel the (good) effects...
Homemade chocolates are very easy to make and really will let your lover know that you went out of your way on Valentine's Day. Go to any craft store and buy candy molds. Melt chocolate in the microwave and put in the mold (you'll need to use a small paintbrush to add the chocolate to the sides of the mold). Fill with small cherries, pieces of nuts and coconut or whatever you prefer in your Valentine Day chocolates. Fill the rest of the mold with melted chocolate. Unmold, put on a pretty plate and, voila! Homemade chocolates!
I deemed these delicious chocolate cookies 'crack' cookies as, well, you crack them into pieces and they're addictive too. Made with saltine crackers (yep), toffee, and chocolate, they're delightful and very very easy to make. See the resource section below for the recipe.
If you're really adventurous, add some liquor, such as Chambord to your chocolate before pouring into the molds. Add just one raspberry to the center of your chocolate candies and a small amount of liquor for a liquid Valentine's Day surprise.
Thank you for the great chocolate ideas for Valentine's Day.
