The national debt is at an all time high in the United States of America. These are some changes the president could make affecting millions of people.
With the present national debt out of control for the United States of America President Obama might look to reform the present social security age from 65 to age 67.With adults living longer moving the age two years before a person can collect social security will eliminate the funds for some people to supplement retirement with that money they have worked for sometimes thirty or forty years. Digging into the social security bank for other than what it was designed for has depleated that bank, however it is still growing well. Any money laying around looks good to pay off the national debt in America. The age extension in social security will keep those funds growing without adding new withdrawals from eligible individuals.
At the present time most churches are under the 501 (c) 3 tax exemption. This allows registered places of worship to have plate offerings that are not taxable. All donations received by the churches do not require reporting to the Federal government. Furthermore churches help the needy that are within that rhelm of assistance with funds that are not taxed. All the money the specified churches acquire could be taxed by the president should he determine that to help the national debt. Obama might tax these entities which in turn would greatly affect the people helped by these un-taxed dollars.
Many medicaid recipients are permitted to be helped with ADLs by the government for decades. These assists for daily living funds help numerous people to continue to live life as best provided by the services offered by medicaid. Rather than reform what is now defunct with some of these medicaid funds President Obama could very well put some limits on this money area. Some recipients get medical attention, dental attention and even get food stamps from this well known medicaid program. When a person qualifies for medicaid they are evaluated in many areas to determine how the medicaid system can best benefit those people.
Numerous programs within the United States government help millions of Americans get funds for their life existance. If you or someone you know has a disability, there are many programs that help not only the person with the disability, but the care givers providing that help. The United States government realized in early 1900's that people with disabilities in America could be helped with funds provided to educate, allow numerous forms of therapy and countless other programs for handicapped individuals. A tax payer pays for these programs to exist. President Obama could limit the money alloted to certain programs and even eliminate some to pay off the national debt.
In the mix of trying to pay off the national debt, the president of the United States of America could consider H.R. 4646 to tax every money transaction. This would include the major purchases whenever any transaction is dealt with even if no funds are touched by anyone. Transfers like deposits, putting money from one account to another, automatic payroll and social security activities and all the other transactions dealing with funds. This proposal might look good since it is attached to eliminating the income tax, however both will be in place until a law goes into effect to actually do away with the income tax that exists. So, it is not just one tax, but several imposed should this H.R. 4646 be enacted as a law.
Consider contacting your congressmen and congresswomen to tell them your ideas about how they vote either with the president or against. The author thinks the spending should be stopped before people are affected by doing away with anything. Why cut when the spending keeps on going out of control?
