Plants Vs. Zombies by Pop Cap Games, originally a PC only title, is a fun tower defense game now available for the XBOX 360 in the XBOX Live Arcade Marketplace.
In this game players try to protect their house and their brains of course, from hoards of crazy, cartoon zombies by planting rows of flowers and other plants that fight the zombies away.
I thought it sounded lame at first but when I picked it up for only 800 MSP and played it, I was surprised. Not only is it addictive but its also quite a challenge!
Many game modes are accessible at first but later you unlock more like the Zen Garden, Survival Mode, and a lot of mini games too. You can also upgrade your house and weapons (plants) by purchasing them from the trunk,at Crazy Dave's (really the guy wears a pot on his head, for crying out loud!) Twiddy Dinkies and say if you are rather fond of Crazy Dave, the Avatar Marketplace has a pot you can buy for your avatar to wear.
Any way, for only around $10.00, Plants Vs Zombies is by far a good purchase for your money and one of my favorites for 2010.
Here's the story pal. You're a piece of meat. You're in love with an old used bandage. Some weird weird fetus in a tuxedo kidnapped your sweet-heart to have his way with her. What are you going to do? Well? Go save her Meat Boy!
And for only 1200 Microsoft points....1200? I thought I said 800 MSP in the sub-heading? I did, because I got it on special when it was first released on XBOX Live Arcade, but now it's 1200 MSP, sorry dudes!
Well any way, as any piece of meat would do in a situation like this, jumping and meat sliding through treacherous meat grinders, syringe covered wastelands and fight off crazy enemies and super bosses just save his beloved, used bandage...this game is awesome and not only awesome, but extremely long and difficult.
I still have not beat this game yet. There are many surprises and Avatar Awards like a cool Super Meat Boy T-shirt and possibly you're very own Meat Boy too? Well, for 1200 Microsoft points. I still recommend Super Meat Boy to any one who loves a challenge!
Have you ever had to fight off a hoard of the living dead with just a baseball bat or perhaps a lawn rake? Now what if you took a car battery and hooked it up to your rake? You'd have yourself one of the fancy weapon combos in Capcom's Dead Rising: Case Zero with the ability to shock the life..err...death out of them!
Any fan of the Dead Rising series will love this DLC prequel to Dead Rising 2, and it is an XBOX exclusive! For only 400 MSP, it's a real steal for the content. Not only does it provide hours of zombie slaughtering mayhem but it also has 200 Gamerscore worth of tough Achievements and sheds some light on the Dead Rising 2 storyline.
This is definitely a must have for anyone planning on buying Dead Rising 2 by Capcom because you carry your Combo Cards and player stats into Dead Rising 2! A sweet deal and a can't miss.
Charles Shultz Peanuts crew comes alive in Snoopy's Flying Ace, a fun flying shooter game appropriate for all ages, Starring are main cool cat...I mean dashing dog, Snoopy!
This is a game for all ages but it still appeals to an older crowd, even really old crowds, since Snoopy has been around for quite some time now.
Pick from your favorite Peanuts characters and even play as yourself or your Avatar rather, as well as customizing your fighter planes with crazy weapon attachments!
One downfall is that the achievements in this game are super hard to get but it's okay because you're up for a challenge aren't you?
This game has a couple down loadable maps which price out at 80 MSP and 800 MSP. I know you're thinking that's more than I paid for the game in the first place, but it adds quite a few more maps to the multiplayer levels and really gives you more options to play with. For 800 Microsoft Points, it's a good deal, and I like it!
If you like first person shooters like the Call of Duty franchise or even Halo; Black Light: Tango Down provides an online multiplayer appropriate for teens, without all the blood and swearing that comes with some of the other first person shooters out there.
It's got good graphics, nothing spectacular but it's still good. Leveling up isn't extremely difficult, but the achievements seem like they take forever to complete.
Black Light : Tango Down has a lot of on line game modes for example, team death match and King of the Hill and is an okay deal at 1200 MSP but I wish they had put a few more maps in it or at least a DLC release.
Nice list!
Good list.
