This is mainly about viruses that are acting as if they are a virus protection program. It is a disguise that they are using. So I guess that it is called a Trojan for that reason.
The thing is that it is the opposite of it. All the things that it is pretending to be stopping are bad, bad things that it is trying to do. It can look almost like a normal program. There is probably a picture of it on the Internet under its name as a virus warning.
Like a cuckoo bird in a nest its intention is to take over your computer. It may or mostly will begin issuing fake warnings about a virus threat on your computer. Many of the programs that are meant to protect from a virus unfortunately can't stand up to them. So you need to watch out. It can take over from your program knocking it out.
To be even more helpful it tells you that if you pay for its service you can get rid of a virus. That is the last thing that you want to do. People who pay for it get nothing.
If you are unsure and if you think you have time you can look it up. It most likely has already been seen and people have ways they are working on to get rid of it. If you are really not sure you should ask someone for help. You will notice the picture of it on the Internet will probably look the same as your problem.
But you ddn't request it. Sometimes they say and I have seen this it can try to look like a program that you have asked for. It then asks you to click on the program to set it up. If you don't recognize it or it looks funny you shouldn't do that. I had a hard time getting rid of it. I had to take a lot of other programs off to get rid of it. It comes in from free things on the Internet mainly.
It is imperative to get them off as soon as possible. The longer it is on the worse it gets.
