These remedies for a toothache can help when the senerio goes like this. It is a Friday afternoon and you feel a twinge. The twinge becomes worse in a matter of minutes. Your clock says your dentist is gone from the office.
Good old hydrogen peroxide can be such a helpful remedy for a smouldering toothache. You can dilute it one part peroxide and one part water and swish every 3 or 4 hours. Don't swallow the mixture, but spit it out with the fizzy feeling after you have.
Your pharmacy might have clove tincture, however you can use the whole clove in your pantry. Place in on the affected area with some relief. If the clove is not fresh it will still be somewhat effective.
Take the outer krinkling skin from your clove of garlic bulb. With a sharp knife, cut the ends off the one clove (section of the entire bulb). Make a thin sliver by cutting length-wise on the clove. Place it on the gum of the toothache area. The immediate feeling might be a burning, but that subsides as the pain will too.
Make a super saturated solution of salt and water. This is done by putting a small amount of water in a pot.Use 1/2 cup tap water and put salt into that water until you can't mix it anymore. The amount might be 4 tablespoons, but take a look and heat until all the salt cannot be seen. Let mixture cool before using as a swish where the toothache is. This should not be used by people on a limited salt diet.
Applying pressure to some toothaches, deaden the severity of the ache. Begin with slight pressure from one or more fingers that have been washed and thoroughly rinsed too. Work on the inside of the mouth massaging the gum of the affected tooth. Apply ice to the affected area of the mouth either by allowing it to go into the mouth or by ice pack. Leave it on for 3 minutes and then remove for 3 minutes. The area might have become swollen and the ice will diminish the edema.
Great list.

Wow! These are great ideas. Thank you so much. I wish I had a way to save this as a favorite, but I certainly can do a cut/paste thingy and save it elsewhere on my computer. Love it!
