Inhaling deeply, and exhaling slowly, deliberately, is a surprisingly easy way to alleviate stress. It works so effectively because we're so tight or uptight, that when we take time out to just breathe, it has a positively profound effect on our bodies.
It's been known for the last century that exercise is a great stress reliever. It also helps us to live longer. Exercise reduces stress, relaxes the muscles and helps you to sleep better.
It's no secret that when you're tired you're more stressed. Improper rest makes you restless, jittery, and creates stressful situations with those close to you. There are days when you can just look at a co-worker and tell immediately the person is stressed. One of the first things they tell you is, "I didn't get much sleep last night."
