I have been married to one for 21 years, I know what I am talking about.
Engineers are excellent problem solvers. They can come up with creative solutions to almost any problem, whether it involves computers, packing suitcases, or dealing with teenagers. You name it, they can solve it!
An engineer can fix anything from a broken toilet to malfunctioning Mars rover. They are very handy and that can save a lot of household expense. Why call a plumber?
New technology is no big deal to an engineer, they practically salivate at the sight of a new gadget! This enthusiasm can sometimes spill over into other things like trying new foods, taking really adventurous vacations, and getting involved in community activities.
This is really great if you have kids. No need to hire a math tutor, if your husband is an engineer, he uses higher math every day, so it is no big deal to help with math and science homework and projects.
Engineers have the potential to earn a great salary. Many of an engineers talents can be used in different areas of science--rocket science, medical science, computer science, defense industry jobs. All of these kinds of jobs offer good to excellent pay. Many times engineers can supplement their income doing consulting work as well. Engineers are in high demand.
If you watch television, you might get the idea that engineers are nerds, and well, you would be right, but they make good mates if you can learn how to put up with everything being taken apart and put back together again.

At least engineers put things back together after they take things apart. Some DIY ers don't. Very good reasons to marry an engineer. I have a daughter who is an engineer and you described her well. BTW she is single and a GREAT catch for the RIGHT guy.
