Tape has glue on the back of it. So what you are really removing is the glue. You need a grease solvent to get rid of glue so you can use Kerosene or a pre-soak stain remover. Sponge some Kerosene into the affected area to dissolve the glue and then dilute out the Kerosene with warm water with a small amount of laundry detergent mixed in. Then launder normally. Alcohol To treat an alcohol stain you should get to it as soon as possible. Don't leave it to really sink in. It may appear colourless at first but it may turn brown later so get in there with some warm (not hot) water quick smart. Sponging warm water into the stain will dilute it and wash it away. If the mark is more stubborn then you can gently rub some glycerine into the fabric and leave it for half a hour. Rinse the glycerine out by placing the garment in warm water. Launder normally.

Washing detergent stain (Alkali) if left on the fabric can cause it to rot. To get it out you should mix equal quantities of water and white vinegar. Sponge this solution into the stain and then launder normally. Antiperspirants Antiperspirants can leave icky residue in the pits of your shirts. They are sometimes impossible to remove however you can start by pre-soaking them with laundry detergent before washing. If that doesn't work you should try using diaper wash (if the fabric can handle it). Launder normally and repeat if necessary.
Start by removing any excess avocado using a spoon. Then dilute the stain using fresh cool water. This should loosen the avocado particles in the cloth. Make a mixture of liquid dishwashing detergent with a litre of cool water. Sponge the stain area with the solution. Keep doing this until the stain has been removed. Then launder normally.
If your little darling has managed to turn common household baby chow into a high speed projectile you should start by removing as much of the food as possible using a spoon. Then, sponge with cool water to dilute the stain as much as possible. Use liquid washing detergent to rub into the stain. Leave to sit for five minutes and then soak for 15 minutes in cool water. Rub the stain with your fingers every few minutes to rub more detergent into the stain area. Rinse well. Wash normally and repeat this process if necessary and stock up on a set of cheap, replaceable bibs. It will make your life easier.
