List My Five is a friendly community of writers and an easy place to put one's work. Everyone appreciates the ease of publishing and lack of structure. The following are some improvements that one another imagines as making List My Five an even more exceptional place in which to publish!
List My Five would be improved by putting up a new list on the front page each day, preferably at approximately the same time each day. Just people who visit favorite blogs each day expect to see new material, so it is with a professional articles website such as List My Five. A new article each day would increase visitor return traffic as well as be a tremendous morale booster to those who write regularly for List My Five.
Not knowing when earnings will be updated is upsetting to the morale of those who contribute to List My five. One of two scenarios would go a long way towards in boosting confidence and enthusiasm of List My Five's authors. The first, would be for earnings to be updated no less than three times per week, preferably on specified days. Alternately, simply knowing when an update can be counted on would be helpful. Knowing that earnings will be updated each Monday, on Saturday nights, or even on the first day of the month ... would be an improvement. What hurts morale is NOT KNOWING what to expect.
The current List My Five "My Home" page shows an article's current number of views, comments, earning amount, etc., all of which is wonderful What it does NOT do, though, is notify an author when he or she has NEW comments. An author who has written hundreds of lists may have received new comments of which they are unaware and will not be able to respond to, unless they somehow keep their own list of articles, comments, etc. A simple notification of new comments with a link when an author logs into his home page would be a WONDERFUL addition to List My Five!
If an author composes his or her list in the windows provided on the "Create a List" page, and hits a wrong key, experiences a power glitch, ANYTHING, actually, that suddenly closes out the compose page, all of his or her work is lost. It would be a tremendous improvement if their work were automatically saved every minute or two, such as is the case on the Hub Pages compose page. Another improvement would be a page one could go to as a bridge between composition and publishing, a "preview" page. It is much easier to spot errors and to proof read from a new page, and as it is now, an author is forced to spot his errors after the list is published, which is less than professional. A preview page would be a splendid addition!
It is lovely how the author profile pages allow visitors to see the totality of articles published. It is also nice that it provides a link to an author's website (if they have one). However, email is even more basic than one's website, and it would be lovely if an author's profile information included their email address.
I agree. Can't wait to see if these suggestions are implemented. H5
Yes, yes and yes. High 5!
I would love email contact for those who opted into it as well.
