Former Vice President Dick Cheney confused the two countries of Peru and Venezuela in a speech before the Washington Institute for Near East Policy at the Weinberg Founders Conference in 2007. During the Virginia conference, Cheney told the press that the people of Peru deserved better leadership than Hugo Chavez. While both countries had unrepresentative governments during 2007, Hugo had nothing to do with ruling Peru.
Dick Cheney maintained he had the right to vote in the Wyoming primary elections even though he hadn't lived in the home with a grant deed in his name for more than a decade. While some people might think Cheney's residence would read Washington, D.C., Cheney actually spent more time in Texas than any other location. He has owned a home in Texas since 1993, but he put his Texas home on the market in 2000 for over $3 million dollars. Cheney changed his voting registration to Wyoming in July 2000. The Cheney family owns a vacation home in the state but rarely lived there prior to the time of the new registration. Cheney's driver's licenses and car registrations list Texas as a home address. Both Wyoming and Texas do not collect tax on personal income.
Cheney's view that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction was the basis for America's entry into a new Gulf War. Former President George Bush told a television interviewer that one of his regrets from his presidency included Cheney's misinformation about the WMDs.
Stephen F. Hayes' biography released in 2007 claims that Cheney confused pop singer Jessica Simpson with former Iraq prisoner of war Jessica Lynch. While both were in the media at approximately the same time, the circumstance for fame were decidedly different. Rather than confining his confusion to home, Cheney made his comment at a public event while throwing out the first baseball at a Cincinnati Reds baseball game.
Private citizen Dick Cheney claims that U.S. President Barak Obama will hold that office for only one term. Only time will prove his statement true or false, but voting polls show Obama has no real competition from either Democrats or Republicans in the 2012 national election.
Great list!
Great list, thank you.
Great list about a very confused man.
Nice list! I agree, Cheyney is confused.
I going to have to agree with this list, Cheyney was, and probably still is, a bit confused.
