If you are planning a trip to Alberta, Canada, here are my top 5 things to see or do.
Drumheller is a city in southern Alberta, the city itself has a lot of dinosaur related things to see and do, but the surrounding area also has many things for the tourist and dinosaur enthusiast, including the world famous Tyrrell Museum.
The landscape of Drumheller is stunning and can be very hot in the summer so bring plenty of drinking water.
Located between Edmonton and Calgary is the city of Red Deer. Scattered around downtown Red Deer are several lifelike statues of real people, or animals (including a pig and fire wagon horses). These statues are worth a visit if you are in the city of Red Deer.
Once known as the world's largest shopping mall, West Edmonton Mall is still worth seeing. You don't even need to shop! I suggest going during the week rather than on the weekend.
Banff is located to the west of Calgary, and is worth the drive. It is nestled in the Rocky Mountains and is very scenic. Shopping and meals can be expensive in the town of Banff itself.
I suggest going on one of the hikes in the area such as the Johnston Canyon walk.
Located further south than Banff, Waterton is less touristed. It is a stunning park well worth your visit, but can be a bit more out of the way than Banff, or the other park I have not mentioned, which is Jasper, to the north.
I hope you enjoy your trip to Alberta, Canada, take lots of pictures.
I have only been to #4 and #5, and fully agree on the ones I saw. I will trust you on the other sights since they sound wonderful too even though I don't like shopping so the mall might be for people watching. WEll done list.
Sounds like a great place to visit
