Man this list could be endless but heres my top 5 well 6 lol.
one of the most hard fighting generals in the Civil War. He went from being a common officer to the commanding officer of the whole Union. Robert E. Lee would be here strategy wise but I have to go with the winner of the war here.
Famous for Shermans March to the Sea. He was a hard drinking hard fighting general. He found the underbelly of the Confederacy and raided it and burned it down all the way to the sea.
The greatest strategist of the Civil War who defeated the Union in battle after battle with a smaller force and supplies. If he never was at Gettysburg the United States map may look different.
This is a tie. Calvary wise J.E.B. Stuart was the greatest at what he did. He would circle the Union forces at will. Custer was a brash hard fighting brave calvary office who actually beat Stuart at Gettysburgh.
Another general who if lived would have made the war more complicated and maybe defeated the Union. He was a brave older officer with great strength and strategy. He was devoted to God and A Honorable warrior. He was killed by his own men.
Awesome! I love the last bit, which made me very curious about General Jackson "He was devoted to God and A Honorable warrior. He was killed by his own men." What a curious dichotimy!
Thanks for the history lesson!
