Depending on the length of your commute, taking public transportation can save several gallons of gas a day. Just one gallon a day can save over 260 gallons of fuel over the course of a year.
Some companies give metro passes to their employees at a discount or even free as a perk, making public transportation even more cost effective. Check with your HR department to see if your company does this.
One more car off the road is one less car polluting the air. It's a plus for the environment. Bring a book or newspaper and just relax on your ride.
Let someone else do the driving and enjoy the ride. Taking the train means no more traffic jams or worries that a little rain will slow your commute.
It's much cheaper to take public transportation than to pay for daily or monthly parking. Let the bus drop you off at your destination without worrying about parking.
THANKS FOR SHARING:)
I wish there were buses in my area. My brother in law takes them all the time. He saves tons of money
Great 5 pointers!
Definitely like the list, even though in some areas (Like LA) I'm not so sure the buses are very "green", but combining more peoples into less vehicles is always a good thing.
