Kids In Need Teacher Foundation gives monetary grants to teachers and other educations to help students K-12 learn in innovative ways. They specialize in funding projects that give students a hands on opportunity to learn knew skills or discover new learning material. Grants are competitive and are judge based on idea originality, back up research given, grant proposal clarity and the ability to duplicate project to other schools. The typical money given from this foundation is between $100 and $500.
The NEA Foundation awards grants to educational professionals to support projects geared for students and educational staff. This foundation has given over $9 million in grants to support various educational projects. The two grant categories given through the NEA foundation Student Achievement Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants. All grant applications and grant proposals are received via internet. Paper applications are not available.
ASCAP Foundation Grants funding for programs involving music education and talent development for aspiring songwriters and composers. The typical awarded grant is $2,500 but can be as high as $20,000. Grant awardees may apply each year to renew grant. All applicants must be certified as a501(c)(3).
The Archibald Bush Foundation awards funding to mathematics and science education programs geared to help girls and minority students. Successful grant applicants can show research that similar programs have been proven successful in the past.
The Captain Planet Foundation helps fund programs geared towards school age kids get a hands on knowledge of solving environmental problems. Grants awarded are usually between $250 and $2,500.
Most foundations and agencies that fund teacher grants are concern widely on the why, what, how and when of the student participation. Make sure all grant proposals cover each aspect.
