Winnie the Pooh, that beloved bear, was surrounded by some great animal friends in all the books that AA Milne wrote. The below are my favorite Winnie The Pooh Characters who lived in Hundred Acre Woods.
With his worrying manner, who wouldn't love the frantic antics of Rabbit as he goes about protecting his house and caring for his Winnie the Pooh friends. He even figured out a way to decorate Winnie the Pooh's butt when he goes stuck in the hole of Rabbit's house.
Kanga is about the sweetest, prettiest kangaroo hopping around. As a supporting character, AA Milne didn't really give Kanga the book time I thought she should have gotten. As mother to Roo, she hopped around in the background of Hundred-Acre Wood a lot.
Piglet with his striped sweater was the cutest of the cute. Always hanging around with the big boys, Piglet tried hard to fit into the crowd and always yearned to be bigger.
Perhaps my favorite doom and gloom character ever, I have always loved Eeyore. As one who has had a myriad of basset hounds, I have an affinity for his sad affect and his long ears. And, the tail that keeps falling off? Too cute. Poor Eeyore would have benefited from a nice prescription of Prozac.
Eeyore's favorite quote would be "Oh, well.", "Thanks for noticin' me."
Christopher Robin gave us a window into Winnie The Pooh's world so we're forever indebted to his character. As the little boy who lived on the edge of the Hundred Acre Woods, he'd come in and out of the pages of the Winnie the Pooh books as the only human character.
Christopher Robin coined the phrase: "Silly old bear."
Growing up, Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day by AA Milne and Are You My Mother by Dr. Seuss were my favorite books. And, I believe they stand the test of time as I frequently see them on children's bookshelves to this day.
I'm glad to see Piglet and Eeyore, but I like Tigger and he's not there! How can you pick, really? There's Pooh, and "Wol," too!
Really can't pick a favorite. I love all of them. You keep writing about Pooh and I'll read every word of every article. HI5
These are all cute little guys. I have always loved Winnie The Pooh. H5.
Love Pooh and his pals.
Eeyore is my favorite resident!
