You always wanted some quiet time, so take advantage of the time he is glued to the television. Keep some books on hand that you are wanting to read. Find a quiet spot in the house and start reading.
Draw a full tub complete with bubbles and have a good soak. You can even combine the read-a-book with this. Put on some skin cream, file the nails, apply the fake tanning cream or whatever makes you feel pampered.
Maybe it's just a phone call or if they aren't too far away, arrange for together time with a cup of tea or play scrabble or just chat about your mutual interests.
Learn about the teams and players and how the game is played. Start watching the games with him and make it a fun time that you share.
A stroll around the neighborhood is good for your heart and getting out in the fresh air is great for your mental health too. Take your camera along to get some flower photos or just walk and admire the scenery.
