My pep talk is to help you in some small way to keep writing and making money. Everyone has knowledge of one kind or another to make money writing online. Free lance writers choose to share and care to give information to others by their submitted material.
Don't give up too soon. You might be one of the fortunate ones to be on the ground floor of a really great opportunity. If you give up quickly, you will never know the potential you might have passed up right where you are now.
Select your topics you think or know someone would like to read. Not many want to hear about your garden shoes left out in the rain. On the other hand if you can make a joke of them, it might be your niche. Everyone has more than one niche, by the way. Maybe you haven't looked in the right place just yet to discover all your potential.
Try broadening
your horizons so you don't limit your writing topics to one genre. Comparing yourself to others is comparing apples to oranges, it is best left for the fruit salad makers. Everyone writes differently than the next person, which is why the world is so diversified. Applaud your work and keep at it with all you have, if that is what you want. Your neighbor will be doing that too with his articles which has little to do with your articles.
Writer's block does not exist for some online writers, be one of them. Think all the time about what you are doing that might fit into a great online, money making article. If you think you have the symptoms of writers block, give it a rest for a few minutes and start thinking positive once again with fresh ideas. Read someone Else's article that can give you an idea. Don't think that is copying unless you actually do copy that guys work and that is plagiarism. Avoid spending what you don't have. When you see the money in your account, then it is yours and not until then.
Don't look back unless you need to see where you have been. Instead of backwards, continue to seek your forward momentum and keep peddling. Keep working on your articles until you are completely out of ideas, which will be when you close your eyes to go into larger life. You are a free lance writer and should be proud of your spunk, drive or what ever you call your gaul and stick to it attitude. If the bottom drops out of the site you are writing on, you had a good journey while you were there and met some wonderful cyber friends. Don't lower your expectations, get rid of them entirely since nothing is yours until you own it, period.
Great list! Everyone needs a pep talk now and then!
Yours is the first List I've read on LM5, and probably the best, since it has given courage and inspiration to all these other writers. Your profile is much like mine: Medical background, love of Animals, love of God.
Great motivation for online writers! thanks.
Right on!
Great pep talk for online writers..."don't give up" is a reminder I need once in a while. Thanks!
Great tips for writers!
I know lots of writers who wish they had worked harder on eHow and now grumble about missing the boat. I get good residual income from there and that makes me glad to keep posting lists at List My Five.
Too often people have this idea that freelance writers who work for residual income will hit the ground running. Even older writers who start on a new site sometimes forgets it takes about 100 lists or articles and 3 months for the articles to mature before you can see true potential. In the meantime step back, relax, and give it time.
Thanks for the pep talk for online writers. You have a good list here. I think that the most important is not to give up too early. Many online articles age like fine wine and become something wonderful. Some of the articles I have written give me their own pep talk each month that they make me residual income.
I bookmarked AND tweeted this sahweet list! Great pep talk - self! Loved it. Thanks.
Wonderful pep talk and it's easy to remember where to find it, again, when I need it. All I have to do is think of one of LM5's most inspirational members! :)
This is a great idea to encourage all of us writers. I know sometimes I feel like writing is a waste of time. Then I look at my older articles then realize I really am making money.
Wow, Okay, Yes Ma'am! Thank you for the pep talk. I needed this today. Bless you!
