Inflations hits about everything but the below top five things that will be more expensive in 2011 are leading the pack. You'll save money by stocking up on these items now before they become more expensive and out of reach in 2011.

Chocolate Bars

Sad but true; chocolate bars are projected to go up 30% in price in 2011. One way the chocolate makers, such as Hershey's or Nestle's, combat rising prices is to reduce the size of the chocolate bar. So, although a chocolate bar may still cost $.79 in 2011, you'll need more of them to satisfy a sweet tooth. Save money buy buying chocolate bars in bulk at stores such as Costco or Sam's club.

Cars

After losing momentum and being cheaper in 2010 than in previous years, the car prices for 2011 are projected to increase. It's a great time right now to purchase a new 2010 car which has been sitting on a dealer's lot so you don't get hit paying the premium prices for a new 2011.

Gas

Going along with the rising prices of cars will be the price of running them. By some expert's opinions, gas in the US will top $5.00 by 2012 so electric cars may be an option. If you hate the idea of plugging in a car ever night, consider a hybrid car which runs on electric and gas and will save you money in the long run.

Breakfast Items

Due to bad weather hitting grain crops in 2010, the cost of breakfast items such as bread and cereal is projected to increase in 2011. Also, the energy crisis has sent the price of packaging soaring so buy in bulk to save money and reduce your spending costs on food items.

Credit Cards and Debit Cards

A lot of credit cards and debit cards are adding back in the annual fee to try and recoup some money reduced by the Credit Card Reform of 2010. When you get mail from your creditors, make sure to open it and read it so you're aware of any new changes to your existing cards.

The above are only a few things that will be more expensive in 2011. Hopefully, the economy will improve and those of us unemployed will find work so we can continue to afford these pleasures.
