Interesting list. I grew up in Virginia Beach, and remember as a little girl when we got our first MacDonald's ... there was another small franchise called Carroll's that was there at the same time, and I remember that I liked Carroll's hamburgers better. Carroll's, of course is no doubt long gone, but MacDonald's will apparently live on forever!
