Staying organized and focused is something that many of us have trouble doing, especially if you are working outside the home, have children and trying to run a household too. No wonder you are spacy and always tired! Here are some tips to help you stay organized.
I try to write things down that I think I may have trouble remembering or key facts that I need to remember. I keep a small notepad in my purse for those odd minutes when I say, I should make a note of that!
Have errands to run after work? Or lots of things to do on Saturday and places to go? Or perhaps you need a zillion things at the grocery store. Make a list to guide you.
It is a lot easier to maintain a clean house than to be constantly cleaning a dirty house. Do housework on schedule and you won't be spending extra time doing a chore that isn't fun. Speaking of a schedule...that brings us to #4.
Make a weekly schedule for your household and stick with it. Kids do better knowing what time they need to get up for school, do homework, have dinner, playtime, and go to bed. Things run much smoother for everyone!
Sometimes a schedule or routine isn't any good if the other members of the house don't know about it or what's on the agenda. Get a big calendar or wipe off board with magnetic backing to post for all to see. That way if there are any questions, the rest of the family will know by checking the schedule!
Hope these tips were useful and have fun getting organized!
Definitely great ways to stay organized. H5
This is really a good list. Great tips.
Good tips, a good schedule is more efficient, but people also need to slow down and enjoy life, some people have too much of a schedule.
Good plans for organization. thank you for your wisdom.
I know you are right about the house... I cannot seem to keep it clean and when it's messy I almost give up on finding certain things. It's one of my goals for 2012 to keep it more organized :)
