Going to the fair can be a lot of fun. However, going on a hot humid day where the temperature is close to 100 degrees and there isn't a breeze may not be the kind of fun you were looking for. There are ways that you can survive the fair on a hot summer day so you can see your favorite singers perform or check out the events that you were looking forward to attending.
Wear the lightest clothes possible. Some fairs do not allow bathing suits, but wearing a tank top and shorts will help you stay cool on that hot summer day. Wearing the lighter colors and avoiding dark is a great way to help you stay cool.
There are mini portable fans that you can buy. Most of them have strings that you can wear around your neck. Some even have a bottle of water attached to the fan so both the water and cool breeze can hit your face.
Freezing a bottle of water the night before you go to the fair is a great idea. Leave it out on the counter for a few hours before you leave and you will have a water bottle filled with half ice and half water. This will help you stay cool while at the fair on a hot summer day.
Using an umbrella during a hot summer day is especially helpful if you have children and a stroller. Simply attach the umbrella to the stroller to give your child the necessary shade he needs. Hats work the same as umbrellas to keep the sun out of your eyes and the heat off your head.
This is an obvious way to stay cool however, some people just don't think about it when they are excited to get somewhere. Instead of walking quickly or running to your event, give yourself extra time and walk slowly.
Hurry up summer, great list! H5!
Good advice ... I like to get indoors under the big fans when the exhibits are inside, too ...
