This is my list on why I enjoy going to Mitchell Park.
It is the home of the famous Domes. I do enjoy going to the Domes. It has three bee hive like domes. One is for tropical plants, the second is for arid plants and the third is for floral type of shows.
His Milwaukee cabin was built on top of a bluff overlooking the Menomonee Valley and became his winter residence away from Green Bay. A historical monument marks this location in Mitchell Park as the first house in Milwaukee.
It currently has a softball and soccer fields for people and for teams with leagues to for their games. You take up a pick up game of basketball at the park also.
Park connecting with Trail with the Hank Aaron State Bridge. The bridge will connect the former Milwaukee stockyards portion of the Hank Aaron State trail directly to Mitchell Park off of S. 27th Street.
The park overlooking the valley and also can see an awesome view of downtown Milwaukee from the upper parking lot. With it overlooking the valley you are able to see what is going on in most of the valley.
