Low end products are terrible. You'll end up wishing you had purchased better wood laminates. If you are a beginner, it may be best to try out the laminate in a small room that doesn't have any irregular walls or corners.
You can do the work faster if there is no furniture or room items in the way. People get lazy moving furniture but you'll just create more work shifting things as you put down more and more planks on the floor.
If you are working on a row, the last thing you want to do is end up with a piece that is less than 12 inches. Resize the first plank of that row to allow the last row piece to be at least 13 inches.
Get tools that allow you to use blunt force on the planks without damaging the tongues or grooves. Buy good jig saws to allow you to make small irregular cuts.
If you are a beginner, you will make many mistakes but you will learn from them. Take it slow at first. You will hurt your back and knees and will feel very sore the next day.
Very nice list! Great job!
I had laminate flooring once, never again. I hated how it sounded and looked ... much prefer real wood, or, if money is an issue, bamboo ...
