People who drive all the time and never hit the trails to walk, oftentimes find themselves with issues with arthritis affecting their knees...
The Physicians say that walking is one of the best exercises, some even go so far to say that it is the best, hands down. Walking requires movement of the whole body and the good thing is that it is basically a balanced movement.
If you suffer from Hypertension, did you know that you can actually walk and relax those numbers down? Make it a consistent thing. Whether it's a half hour a day or more than that, add walking to your life's regimen.
Did you know that walking can also balance or reduce your sugar levels if they are high? Walking increases metabolism which is the key to a healthy blood sugar level.
Of course if it can do the things mentioned above, it is a good weight reducer as well. Walking is exercise that burns fat, but it also keeps you away from the table. People rarely eat and walk.
Walking relieves tensions, worries, clears the thoughts. It is not a cure all but certainly with the right balance of food and mindset it can make a very big difference. There are excellent walking trails. Find a companion and walk and talk and keep up with your health! Peace.
great list and I've got it on my "to do" list for today...for me 10,000 steps is about six miles...I'll probably put in about half of that today. H5

No5 made me think of stones. I used to carry 4 or 4 stones in my pocket when I walked. Good list!
