Cancer organizations are nearly continually being started for many reasons. The main purpose of cancer foundations are to find a cure for the dreaded disease, cancer. The Charity Navigator is an independently non partisan organization that reviews top charities and publicizes the valid and important data for donors and other businesses to review. The American Cancer Society has been rated and inspected by Charity Navigator in 2012. The rating of two stars has been awarded out of four stars with consideration of financial, transparency and performance being factors for the rating. The American Cancer Society has a specific clause which allows donors to choose if they prefer not to be publicly known for their financial donation. Furthermore they also did not fully disclose the senior and affiliate staff salaries of the over one billion dollar a year organization. Along with the desire to find a cure for cancer, which is not known at the time of this writing, are numerous purposes to know. A cancer patient is said to either die from cancer or live with it. The living with cancer refers to the application of radiation and chemo therapy advised by the physician whose promise to society is "Do no harm". Each person needs a different recipe to attack the cancer both in the secondary and hopefully the primary sites too. Anyone who has not taken part in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, ought to take part when it is in their town. Go in the early evening and visit people...stay innto the evening for Luminaria (I think that's what it is called...I promise you won't ever forget it).
