Introduction:The Hauser Group offers a service to national companies wanting to track their mail. When you are a Hauser decoy, you will get mail delivered to you under a fake name. They are interested in the delivery date and the condition that the mail is in when it is delivered. You are to be paid a small amount for each piece entered in their system. The checks are supposed to come quarterly. After several months of nonpayment, I am beginning to think that it is a scam.
When you work as a Hauser decoy, you are careful to report all of the spy mail that you get each day. You rely on the fact that you will be paid quarterly for the work that is done. When the check does not arrive, you still keep reporting because the mail keeps coming. You give the company the benefit of the doubt and hope that they will pay you soon. You wonder if it is a scam.
When the check never arrives, you try to find a way to communicate with Hauser decoy services. There used to be an option to contact the company on their decoy site. For some reason, that stopped working and the lines of communication are down. There is no way to complain that you are working for them for free. The mail keeps coming and you keep reporting. You can't believe it could be a scam.
Finally, you go to the main Hauser decoy site and you find some email addresses. You email the owner of the company. You hear nothing back but you finally receive a check. Because you have not seen payment for 18 months of work, you are expecting a large check. It is pathetically small and you are upset. You are getting closer to believing it is a scam.
You wonder if you are the only one working for nothing, so you research Hauser decoy on the internet. You find that there are many other people with the same complaint. The smart ones have quit and will no longer report the mail for this company. Those who keep hoping for a check, are sadly disappointed.
When I first started working as a Hauser decoy, they payed quarterly. As time went on, the payments became less frequent. The last check that I received was a year ago and it was for work done in 2010. Whenever I complained, they always told me the check was in the mail, or would soon be. The mail keeps coming and I keep reporting, refusing to deal with the fact that it is probably a scam.
