Introduction:

People pay big bucks at coffee houses for these top five specialty coffee drinks. Get your caffeine in a pretty package as a nice treat for yourself. Use this explanation of delicious hot coffee beverages to pick your poison, as they say.

Cappuccino

Cappuccino is a lovely, foamy coffee drink that's usually sprinkled with a little cinnamon or cocoa. There's very strong espresso in the bottom, and foamy milk on top. It's a nice combo of ingredients that balance each other out. This one is worth ordering, because it requires a machine that can steam and pressurize the milk. Most of us don't have a cappuccino machine at home.

Espresso

If you really want to go for the caffeine gusto, order an espresso. This is a really dark, really strong cup. Dark Italian roast is brewed with either steam or hot water. Espresso is so strong that it's usually served in small cups.

Mocha

Who doesn't love coffee and chocolate together? Mocha is a combination of cocoa and coffee. If you can get a hot cup of mocha served with a dollop of cool, fresh, real whipped cream on top, you'll have a mug of heaven.

Cafe Latte

Cafe latte is foamy milk and coffee together. However, there's a higher proportion of milk to coffee. The milk is all creamy and foamy like cappuccino. This is an especially poular pecialty coffee drink.

Irish Coffee

If you want an alcoholic brew, this is a great one. Irish coffee is a mixture of Irish whiskey and strong, sweet coffee. Definitely get some real whipped cream on top of this specialty coffee drink. Enjoy Irish coffee slowly, as it is usually pretty strong.




Final Thoughts

To truly enjoy these specialty coffee drinks, take some time to sit and sip in a pleasant atmosphere. After all, you've paid a pretty penny for them, and to get them in a go cup would be a shame.
